No one is perfect. One always hopes that the people we know -- or think we know -- have hidden reserves of compassion and kindness, rather than of spite and vindictiveness. Cruelty always comes as a shock.
This series comes from life, and experience. Like life, these paintings are experiential. They change visually with the movement of the viewer. The center inks shift, glow, lighten. Cracks appear; they're the result of the chemical reaction between inks. I choose to embrace the unpredictable.No one is perfect.
