Floating, the work is immersive and boundless, pulling the viewer into its physical space. The cool glow of the cyan imbues a slowly shifting cloud of elastic shapes, whose nature oscillates between biological and metaphysical, evoking a world both within and outside of us.

Working from a camera-less, unstable negative the initial image is created in a darkroom. The resulting analog print is scanned and enlarged to produce an archival pigment print.

Lensless photography takes advantage of the tension between representation and abstraction. The meditative nature of this work, its sense of mystery and wonder, expand the viewer's experience. The series starts with a fetus, a conception, expanding outward to resonate beyond my consciousness.
